Beaver Creek Lodge is a secluded 3 bedroom, 3 Bath lodge on 3 acres, about 3 miles from the Whiteface Ski Center, and about two miles from the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge and Rehab Center, where guests of Beaver Creek are entitled to use the Refuge canoes and kayaks on Lake Everest, and hike-snowshoe-ski the Refuge trail. Beaver Creek is ringed by tall trees and mountains, and features a rustic porch for relaxing, while sipping your morning coffee, or watching the sun set, as well as a camp fire in front of two huge glacial erratics. Firewood is provided by the Lodge for both the campfire, and the wood stove. A fully equipped kitchen and a washer-dryer, complement high speed, wireless internet access and an HDTV flat screen, with satellite TV, making Beaver Creek Lodge your home-away-from-home in the Adirondacks. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, while two guest rooms have a queen, and two singles respectively. There is a queen pull-out sofa in the living room. The wood stove is backed up by a conventional furnace, and there's a room downstairs for stowing away skis and hiking gear. No other houses are visible from the property, so the desire to get away from it all is enhanced and fullfilled. Runners, cyclists, cross-country skiers and hikers will run out of time, long before they run out of stunning mountain vistas to enrich their exercise, which is a major reason Ironman is held here every July. When your busy vacation day fades to dusk, there are several fine restaurants within a few miles of Beaver Creek Lodge, and if you want to make a full night of it, the Olympic Village of Lake Placid beckons, ten miles away through one of the most beautiful drives in America, through the Wilmington notch along the Ausable River. Don't forget your camera, as wildlife sightings include bobcat, red fox, fisher, the harmless Adirondack black bear and moose. If you don't see any of them, Guests are welcome to visit the nearby Adirondack Wildlife Refuge and Rehabilitation Center, where friends and family can meet the resident wolves, and see educational demonstrations with non- releasable birds of prey, like Great Horned Owls, Barred Owls, Screech Owls, Peregrine Falcons, Red-Tailed Hawks, and a crazy raven named Abie the Fishman, who was rehabilitated, but hangs around to entertain visitors. You can even use their canoes annd kayaks on Lake Everest, at no extra charge. If you need a guide to take you hiking or fishing, we will line one up for you. This is a relaxing Lodge, where you will put your busy careers on hold, spend quality time with friends and family, and renew yourselves, surrounded by the incomparable beauty of the Adirondack Mountains. Sorry, no pets, and absolutely no smoking indoors. Jn July and August, Beaver Creek Lodge rents from Saturday-to-Saturday, and has a minimum 3 night stay the rest of the year. preferred arrival and departure dates. Indicate the house you’d like to
rent, and
include your full mailing address and phone number. We'll email you a
contract
for your approval, and invoice you for half the rent and applicable
taxes,
which are New York State Sales Tax (7.75%) and Essex County bed tax
(3%).
Balance will be invoiced, along with a Damage Protection Policy two
weeks prior
to arrival. As a small business, we’d rather not have your credit card
number
on our computers, so we use PayPal, the financing
arm of eBay, to accept credit
cards over a completely
secure link. Damage Protection Policy ($60) covers accidental damages to the rental properties furniture, appliances, electronic devices, windows, doors, and any resource which enables the renting of the cabin. Damage Protection Policy is non-refundable. If damages exceed renter’s Damage Protection Policy, of up to a maximum of $1,000 for repair or replacement value, Guest agrees to cover the difference. “Damages” shall not include Cabin resources, such as furnace or hot water heater, unless there is clear evidence of tampering Cancellation policy:
Adirondack Holiday
has no “walk up” reservations by guests, so last minute cancellations
can have
serious financial repercussions. At the same time, Adirondack Holiday
is not
interested in retaining fees not actually earned by delivering services
promised. For this reason, in the event Guest requests cancellation of
this
contract more than thirty days prior to start of rental period, all
rental and
applicable tax fees, as well as any security or Damage Protection
Policy fees paid
to Landlord shall be returned to the Guest. In the event Guest requests
cancellation of this contract more than fifteen days prior to start of
rental
period, but less than thirty days prior to start of rental period,
Landlord
shall return half of all rental and applicable tax fees, as well as any
security
or Damage Protection Policy fees paid to Landlord shall be returned to
the Guest.
In the event Guest requests cancellation of this contract less than
fifteen
days prior to start of rental period, Landlord shall retain any rental
fees and
taxes paid by Guest to cover period of rental, but will return any
renter’s security
or Damage Protection Policy paid. HOWEVER,
If Landlord finds replacement guest for dates reserved by cancelling
guest,
Landlord shall return all fees paid by original guest, as long as
replacement
guest’s fees will entirely cover original guest’s outlay. If
replacement guest’s
fees cover a portion of original renter’s fees, that portion will be
fully
refunded. Where applicable, the return of funds by the landlord will be
made
within 30 days of notice of cancellation. |
