Q. How do I make a reservation?

After checking availability for a rental property, please email your full mailing address and cell phone number. We'll email you a contract for your approval, and invoice you through a second email for half the rent. Balance will be invoiced, along with cleaning fee, if applicable, and Damage Protection Policy, two weeks prior to arrival. We use PayPal to accept credit cards over a secure link, or you may give us a credit card over the phone. If your vacation begins less than three weeks after you wish to set up your reservation, we may ask that you cover the full cost of the rental in a single invoice.

Q. What is the Damage Protection Policy?
Damage Protection Policy ($75) covers accidental damages to the home?s furniture, appliances, electronic devices, windows, doors, and any rental property resource which enables the rentability of the cabin. Smoking inside the home is absolutely forbidden, as is the dropping of cigarette butts outside. Damages caused by pets are not covered by Damage Protection Policy, and must be covered by guests. Damages shall not include Cabin resources, such as furnace or hot water heater, unless there is clear evidence of tampering. If damages exceed renter?s Damage Protection Policy, of up to a maximum of $1,000 for repair or replacement value, Guest agrees to cover the difference. The Damage Protection Policy is non-refundable.

Q. What time is check in?
Generally, at 4 PM on arrival today, but you are welcome to inquire whether house preparations are running ahead of schedule on arrival day. There is no formal check-in process. Follow the directions in the information document we emailed you.

Q. What time is check out?
10 AM. Please do not ask to check out late, as this may affect preparing the house for guests arriving the afternoon of your morning departure. The only exceptions which may be considered, will be in the event that a new guest is not arriving the day of your departure, and assuming we can arrange the schedule change with our cleaning teams.

Q. Can I bring pets?
Most of the houses support crate-trained dogs, but be sure to check the amenities list. Wilmington Whiteface has leash laws, so pets are not allowed to run free. Guest pets can not be left at the house uncrated, while the guest is not at the house.

Q. Is there a maximum number of people?
Yes. Follow the guidelines for each house, as listed in your contract. Select a vacation rental home that can accomodate the number of people in your party. Adirondack Holiday reserves the right to stop by, and see how many guests are actually staying at the house.

Q. What is our cancellation policy?

Adirondack Holiday has no walk up reservations by guests, so last minute cancellations can have serious financial repercussions. At the same time, Adirondack Holiday is not interested in retaining fees not actually earned by delivering services promised. For this reason, in the event Guest requests cancellation of this contract more than thirty days prior to start of rental period, all rental fees, as well as any security or Damage Protection Policy fees paid to Landlord shall be returned to the Guest. In the event Guest requests cancellation of this contract more than fifteen days prior to start of rental period, but less than thirty days prior to start of rental period, Landlord shall return half of all rental, as well as any security or Damage Protection Policy fees paid to Landlord shall be returned to the Guest. In the event Guest requests cancellation of this contract less than fifteen days prior to start of rental period, Landlord shall retain any rental fees paid by Guest to cover period of rental, but will return any renter's security or Damage Protection Policy paid.  HOWEVER, If Landlord finds replacement guest for dates reserved by cancelling guest, Landlord shall return all fees paid by original guest, as long as replacement guest's fees will entirely cover original guest's outlay. If replacement guest's fees cover a portion of original renter's fees, that portion will be fully refunded. Where applicable, the return of funds by the landlord will be made within 30 days of notice of cancellation.
