Hot Tub! Seclusion! Great Mountain Views! 4 miles from Whiteface Mountain, and 15 minutes from Lake Placid, the private & secluded Beaver Dam Lodge sits on 27 acres, surrounded by Adirondack wilderness, gorgeous Whiteface & Stephenson Range mountain views, a large stone fire pit and a brand new hot tub, equipped with speakers, and an iPod-type hook-up. Four Bedrooms, 3 full baths & a half bath, & a spacious family room & finished basement, provides beds and futons for up to 12, and space to sleep 4 more with air mattresses and sleeping bags, making Beaver Dam Lodge the perfect vacation getaway for large families or multiple families.

If owners of large, elegant vacation houses don't mention privacy or freedom from street noise, beware! Some of those homes are on half acre patches on busy roads, while Beaver Dam Lodge is way off a quiet country Road, with no neighbors nearby.

The 20' by 13' Master Bedroom on the second floor features walk-in closet & bath, as well as great views of Whiteface Mountain. Two other spacious bedrooms on the second floor share a bath. The first floor has Maple floors, & a covered mini deck for the large outside propane grill, just off the kitchen & family room, facing the Stephenson Range. Just off the kitchen, the Entertainment Room has an entertainment center, High speed DSL Wireless Internet and Satellite TV, French sliding doors leading to the wrap-around porch, & enough space to serve as a fifth bedroom. The kitchen has all the latest appliances, including range, refrigerator/ freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster & dishwasher, while there is a washer-dryer set in the basement. The family room has a thermostat-equiped propane stove, which can be controlled by a remote.

Bring your hiking boots & snow shoes, as the surrounding acreage features a towering white pine forest, accented by hardwood & birch, & wetlands, inviting exploration & discovery. Bald Eagles & Red-tailed hawks hunt by day, while the call of the Great Horned Owl highlights nights around the camp fire. Have your camera ready, while relaxing on the porch, as harmless black bear, coyote & fox wander into the yard from the pine bogs. High Peaks hiking for aspiring 46ers, & easy mountain hikes for beginners, featuring wonderful summit views, are all around.

Walk to great fishing for brown & rainbow trout in the West Branch of the Ausable River. The Adirondack Wildlife Refuge & its fifty acres of fun & adventure, is only a few miles away. The Refuge has canoes and kayaks, as well as public fishing access on Lake Everest, and you may show your kids owls, falcons & hawks recovering in the Wildlife Rehab Center, or meet Cree and Zeebie, the resident wolves.

Lake Placid is only 15 minutes away, and the drive through the Wilmington Notch, along the West Branch of the Ausable, with its mountains, wildlife, fly fishermen, rock climbers & roosting raptors, is one of the prettiest drives in America. Lake Placid has great restaurants & shopping, as well as Olympic attractions like the hockey rink where Americans upset the Russians in the 1980 Olympics, the speed-skating oval where Eric Heiden won all those medals, & the bizarre and futuristic-looking Olympic ski-jumps. If you'd prefer action, you & your kids can ride the Olympic bob-sled & luge. A non-refundable $75 Damage Protection Policy per stay applys. From Canada or U.S. Call Toll Free 866-235-9655
